The Signolux Complete Home Fire & Carbon Monoxide Alerting System combines two interlinked smoke detectors, a combined carbon monoxide and heat detector, a DS2 bedside alarm clock and a vibrating pad.

If smoke, dangerous carbon monoxide levels or excessive heat are detected, the appropriate detector sounds its alarm and sends a wireless warning through the Signolux system.

The DS2 Alarm Clock provides bright flashing lights and an audible signal, while the connected vibrating pad offers an additional warning through vibration.

Ideal for people who may struggle to hear conventional household alarms, particularly at night or when their hearing aids have been removed.

Two Interlinked Smoke Detectors

The two Guardion Interlink Smoke Detectors can be installed in suitable locations around the home, providing smoke detection in more than one area.

When smoke is detected, the activated detector sounds its alarm and can trigger other appropriately paired interlinked detectors. The Signolux system also sends a warning to the DS2 receiver.

Carbon Monoxide and Heat Detection

The combined Signolux Carbon Monoxide and Heat Detector provides additional detection for two different hazards.

It monitors for dangerous carbon monoxide levels, a colourless and odourless gas that can be produced by faulty or poorly ventilated fuel-burning appliances.

It also monitors for excessive heat, with a temperature alarm triggered above approximately 60°C.

This makes it particularly useful in suitable areas where both carbon monoxide and temperature monitoring are required.

Bedside Alerting with the DS2 Alarm Clock

The Signolux DS2 Alarm Clock acts as the bedside receiver for the system.

When a compatible detector sends an alarm signal, the clock provides bright flashing lights and an audible warning to help attract the user's attention.

The DS2 also works as a normal digital alarm clock, with large illuminated digits, adjustable alarm settings and a snooze function.

Additional Vibration for Night-Time Use

A compatible vibrating pad connects directly to the DS2 Alarm Clock.

It can be positioned beneath a pillow or mattress, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, to provide a vibrating warning when an alarm is received.

This is particularly useful for people who may not notice flashing lights or audible warnings while asleep.

Together, these devices provide several different methods of alerting the user, helping to reduce reliance on sound alone.

How Does the System Work?

1. The two Guardion Smoke Detectors and combined Carbon Monoxide / Heat Detector are installed in appropriate locations throughout the property.
2. The detectors are configured for the required wireless interlink operation and paired with the Signolux DS2 Alarm Clock.
3. The DS2 is positioned beside the bed, with a compatible vibrating pad connected to its accessory socket.
4. If smoke, carbon monoxide or excessive heat is detected, the relevant detector sounds its alarm and sends a wireless warning.
5. The DS2 responds with flashing lights and an audible signal, while the connected vibrating pad provides an additional vibrating alert.

The system provides several methods of warning the user, helping them recognise important safety alerts even when they are not able to hear conventional alarms.
