Signolux Essential Fire Safety System (Clock)

A complete bedside alerting system designed to help deaf and hard-of-hearing people stay aware of smoke alarms, even when asleep.

The Signolux Bedside Smoke Alarm Alerting System combines a digital alarm clock, wireless smoke detector and vibrating pad to provide audible, visual and vibrating alerts.

If smoke is detected, the Guardion Smoke Detector sounds its own alarm and sends a wireless signal to the Signolux DS2 Alarm Clock. The clock then provides additional alerts, while the vibrating pad helps attract your attention through vibration.

Ideal for people who may not hear an ordinary smoke alarm, particularly when sleeping or when hearing aids have been removed.

The Signolux Bedside Smoke Alarm Alerting System offers an effective way to improve awareness of smoke alarms around the home, especially during the night.

For people who are deaf or hard of hearing, an ordinary smoke alarm may not always provide a suitable warning, particularly when sleeping. This system provides several different methods of alerting you, helping to reduce reliance on sound alone.

The Guardion Interlink Smoke Detector monitors for smoke and sounds its own alarm when activated. At the same time, it sends a wireless signal to the Signolux DS2 Alarm Clock.

The DS2 is designed to sit beside your bed and uses bright flashing lights and an audible signal to attract your attention. A compatible vibrating pad connects directly to the clock and can be positioned beneath a pillow or mattress, as directed in the instructions, to provide a strong vibrating alert.

The DS2 also functions as a normal digital alarm clock, with large illuminated digits, adjustable sound settings and a snooze function.

The system can be expanded with additional compatible Signolux equipment, allowing other important events around the home to be brought to your attention.

A digital alarm clock with a built-in Signolux wireless receiver. Features a large illuminated display, powerful flashing LEDs, adjustable audible alerts and a connection for a compatible vibrating pad.

1 × Signolux Vibrating Pad (Unpowered)

A compact vibrating pad designed to provide strong vibration when activated by a compatible Signolux receiver. Powered directly from the receiver, so no separate batteries are required.

1 × Signolux Guardion Interlink Smoke Detector

An optical smoke detector with a built-in wireless transmitter. Sounds an alarm when smoke is detected and sends a signal to compatible Signolux receivers. Features a sealed lithium battery with a typical operating life of up to 10 years.

How Does the System Work?

1. The Guardion Smoke Detector is installed in a suitable position and paired with the DS2 Alarm Clock.
2. The DS2 Alarm Clock is positioned beside the bed, with the vibrating pad connected to its accessory socket.
3. If smoke is detected, the Guardion sounds its alarm and wirelessly activates the DS2.
4. The DS2 provides flashing and audible alerts, while the vibrating pad provides an additional vibrating warning.

The system offers several methods of alerting the user without relying entirely on hearing an ordinary smoke alarm.

Additional Information

The Signolux system can be expanded with additional compatible smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and Signolux alerting equipment.

The smoke detector must be installed and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and relevant fire safety guidance.

The DS2 alarm clock requires mains power for normal operation, and its backup batteries must be fitted in accordance with the instructions.
