So, once you have your easy-to-use Hemma doorbell and it's all set up, we can dive into making sure you’re getting the most out of the Doro Hemma app. With just a few taps, you can personalize your experience, invite other household members, and fine-tune your settings for both camera and sound.

Here’s How to Get Started:

First you need to access the app on your phone. Then:

Open the Doro Hemma app and log in if you’re not already.

Step 2

Tap the three stacked lines (☰) in the top-left corner to open the main menu.

Step 3

Select ‘Manage your home.’

From there, you can:

Join a new home - great if you want to connect to another doorbell’s system and receive their “Assist me” calls.
Name your home - personalize your setup with a custom name.
Manage household members - view who’s connected or send invites to others in your home.
Choose a colour theme - ideal if you're part of more than one home network.
Reset home settings - start fresh at any time.

Answering The door With Doro Hemma Doorbell

Sometimes it’s not the right moment to rush to the door - maybe it’s late or you’re busy. With the Doro Hemma Doorbell, you don’t have to. See and speak to visitors instantly from your phone or tablet.

Here’s how it works: When someone presses your Doro Hemma doorbell, the indoor chime will sound.

At the same time, your smartphone or tablet will start a live video stream of your doorstep.
The video call starts muted by default - you can see and hear the visitor, but they can’t hear you.
If you want to respond, just tap ‘Answer’ to start a two-way conversation, wherever you are (as long as you have network coverage).
If you prefer not to engage, tap ‘Reject.’ The call will end quietly, and the visitor won’t know - they’ll simply think you’re not home.

Wondering what that noise was outside? With the Doro Hemma app, you can check your doorstep without leaving the sofa.

How to Use Preview:

Open the Doro Hemma app and tap the ‘Preview’ tab.
You’ll see a live video feed from your doorbell camera - great for checking on unusual sounds, your car, or just what's going on outside.
Tap the magnifying glass to zoom in or out.
Hold and drag the image to pan the view.
The app remembers your last zoom level for next time.

Need to Take Action?

Tap ‘Unmute’ to speak through the doorbell and be heard outside.
Use the Siren button to trigger a loud sound and deter unwanted activity.
Tap ‘Assist Me’ to forward the live video to a trusted household contact.

Note: The live preview uses extra battery, so use it when needed to avoid frequent recharging.
