The CM-1 Communication Master System is made up of a Transmitter and a Receiver, the transmitter has a built in microphone which picks up sounds, and then sends the signal to the receiver which you would wear.
Because this system sends its signal via radio waves you do not need to be in "Line of sight" of the transmitter and also the receiver can be concealed in clothing if you wish.
