Batteries Directive

The battery directive has the objective of improving the environmental performance of batteries by regulating the use of certain substances in the manufacture of batteries e.g., lead, lead-acid, mercury, cadmium, etc. It also sets standards for the waste management and recycling of batteries.

Sarabec are registered with the Environment Agency as a ‘small battery distributor’, however we currently have no obligation to offer a Battery Take Back scheme.
